As we look back on the terrorist attacks of 9-11 and as we discuss the Civil War, war and volunteering for the military comes to mind. What would cause you to volunteer yourself and join our military (any branch) during a time of war?
SEVICE TO COUNTRY What would cause me to go to the Marines is to defend my country. I love my country to much to see it crumble. I am thinking about doing four years in the Marines then go to college for my astronomy degree after service. I'm not sure if I may go, but it would help my country if I did. U.S.A. now and forever!
I honestly would serve for every last one if those brave soldiers that go in battle knowing they can die at any second. That has to be the scariest feeling in the world, yet they continue to serve in order to protect our nation. I would serve for any person that has lost someone in battle. I would love to be looked at as a hero.
One thing that would drive me to serve my country is that I love it very much. If I would join any service it would be the Marines. The United States is a great country and we have more freedoms and liberties than countless other countries in the world and are blessed for that. I, like many before me, am willing to give my life to fight for all that being an American stands for and if any country, group, person or whatever wants to get in the way of that they'll have to get through me and anyone else who'll fight for their country.
When i finish high school im going to the service to show my country that i care about every american and i belive that we should stand up for our rights and what we belive in. Serving My country is for the purposes to defined as conveying value to my national government. When i serve my country i want to protect every last bit of my nation and when its over i want everyone to know that i did the best i can to save our country. By attacking other countries i can show them by combating actual or perceived threats we can attack them like they did our Twin Towers and were not going to give up until we get what we want and stand up for what all americans belive in.
I would stand up for my country in any way I could! If I could join any service I would go for the navy. What would cause to join the navy is that I'm fighting for my counntry! It doesn't matter what service your in either the navy, marines, the army or any other kind of branch your still supporting your country. I't doesn't matter what religon, race, or culture what matters is that you still stand up for your nation you live in!
In a time of war i would volunteer in the NAVY. I would let no one harm anyone in the United States and guard the people the United States with my life. Another reason is because my brother served in the Navy and we got to go inside a battle ship.
WELL MY CAUSE TO JOIN ANY MILITARY WOULD HAVE TO BE BECAUSE OF 9 11. I HAVE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR THE US NAVY. SO WHEN I GET OUT OF HIG SCHOOL THAT IS WHERE I WILL BE HEADIG FOR.
Serving one's country during a time of war presents the possibility of the greatest sacrifice, one's life for the safety of his or her nation and its people. However, it is not something that should be put aside as not possible for any of us. For it is this service that millions have given before us that has allowed all of us to live the way we do, in the country that we do, enjoying the freedoms that we have.
It is important, I think, to understand that millions before us have given the greatest sacrifice, and that one day if you or I are called upon that we should proudly answer that call for service so that others might live in this great country.
I really enjoyed reading the ideas some mentioned about using service to further one's education, serving the country in ways other than the military, and the fact that some are already planning on joining one branch of our military. You are all arguments against those who question your generation!
