Obama's Afghan War Options Run Gamut!
ReplyDeleteI would love to see the U.S. military comeback and make a plan to fight harder and as much as they can without a lot of them dying so family's wont suffer from losing a loved one.I dont understand why we are in afghanistan if their is no point of us being their if thats the way they feel about things. I don't believe that Obama should sent more troops over to fight because we have been fighting for eight years now and they say it might last for some more years.
That's my option rather i made a point or not.
Afghanistan War
ReplyDeleteI do not believe that we should bring the troops back home. I believe this because if we do that then the Iraqis will come over here and start bombing us over here. Then there would be more innocent Americans dead. Another thing that i dont think we should do is send thousands of more troops over to Afghanistan. That would solve absolutley nothing just have more troops getting killed instead of prepping them and getting them ready to go to battle. The American Millitry knows how Afghans fight so train American soldiers to do the same thing to them, and we might get a little further.
I think my plan would work greatly!
War in Afghanistan.
ReplyDeleteWe might never know when this war will end, but I disagreed with the fact that we might be sending more troops to Afghanistan. Many brave soldiers had died and many families had lost their loves ones. Bringing troops back to America is also a risk, but we never know how stable the conditions in Afghanistan is. But in my opinion I think for the sake of our American citizens, troops in Afghanistan should stay a little longer until the conditions are safe to come back to America without worries.
The war in Afghanistan can be very confusing and the solution for the war perhaps even more uncertain. However, I think it is always good to ask the following three questions: Where have you been, where are you now, and where do you want to be? Let’s apply these to the situation in Afghanistan…
ReplyDeleteWHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? We have been in Afghanistan since 2001. The U.S. invaded the country directly after the attacks of September 11. We went after the terrorist group Al Qaeda and wanted to get rid of the oppressive Taliban government. We got rid of the Taliban government, many of the Al Qaeda leaders, and helped create a new government in the country.
WHERE ARE YOU NOW? We are trying to make the country secure for its citizens. There are Taliban fighters throughout the country fighting, what they think, is a war to save the country from being taken over by America. They recruit and threaten the people of the country daily. Most Afghans are farmers and need to be guaranteed security to go about their daily lives. We are attempting to improve the government, gain the trust of the different Afghan tribes, and encourage them to stay away from the Taliban. This is a very difficult task for American soldiers and many are killed in this completely unique war.
WHERE DO YOU WANT TO BE? We want the country to be able to defend itself from Taliban forces. We want Afghan citizens to be economically successful and we want the government to be functional and trustworthy. In order to do this we must make the country secure and I believe we must therefore increase our troop numbers in the country. If Afghans do not have to worry about security, they can focus on improving their lives and the country. During this process we must then train the Afghan forces and give ourselves the ability to, many years from now, leave the country. Keep in mind, we still have a military presence in Germany and Japan (since the end of World War II) and Korea (since 1952). We may actually, never leave, Afghanistan!
Please feel free to disagree with me!!
Afghanistan War Options
ReplyDeleteI feel our soldiers have been over seas long enough and it's time for them to come home. But it is not a process that can be done overnight. So I think we should slowly remove our troops so it's not a sudden change to the communities and so they can still make a difference before they go. So many soldiers have died already, we don't need any more deaths. The military families don't need any more hardships thats why this would be best choice.
